Finally! I was able to drag myself out of bed last Sunday morning to go for a bike ride. Planned on waking up at 5:30am but ended up late again. Why is it so damn hard to be consistent? Well, at least I’m consistent on being inconsistent. Anyway, just like always, dragging my ass up early was well worth it. Destination – anywhere in Rizal.

This route is nothing new to me. I have taken this route a dozen times before, either by car or by bike. Still, this is one of my favorites. Honestly, if time permits, I would’ve gone further. A little more miles and the road would have been more scenic, but this was a good ride nonetheless. I only wish I would’ve woken up earlier.

Living in the boundary of Pasig and Rizal does have its advantages. A little turn to the left, then I’ll be closer to nature. A little turn to the right, then I’ll be on my way to the business district in no time. If I were to choose, I’ll turn left every single day.

Going to Binangonan fish port, I only have to pass by 2 more towns. Taytay, Rizal and Angono, Rizal. Not the longest ride but definitely a good exercise for a fat ass like me. It’s a good warm-up ride if you ask me. Being on the fish port is nothing special, but it is always a welcome site compared to my usual routine. Plus, I get to take photos of Laguna de Bay.

The fish port is where transport boats from Talim Island, Laguna, and Navotas docks. There are also fish pens here and small fishermen use this port to transport their harvested fish. A busy wet market is also within the vicinity. I have not been here for a while and the place has changed a lot since the last time I remembered. I found it more scenic before but still, I was able to get some decent photos. And the lake view was always a relaxing sight to see. I forget to mention, I took this quick trip not just for exercise but also to “practice” my photography.

Overall, it was a good, quick, little adventure. One thing I realized on this ride is that I am more into taking wider photos rather than taking photos on a more “normal” view, like on my last ride. But we’ll see. For those confused, I had my Fujifilm x100s on this ride with a 28mm lens vs my Fujifilm Xe3 with a 35mm lens that I used the last time.

And oh! I did a live stream on Facebook on how I selected and edited my photos on this blog. You can check it out HERE but don’t judge me! I’ll get the hang of live streaming soon. As always, thank you for spending the time to read my blog. Don’t forget to like and share and also follow me on my socials, link somewhere down below! Adios! 🙂
